Ariel is riding 100km over 5 days to support Shabbat Walk instead of collecting this Purim due to lockdown.
Please support this great cause and help Ariel reach his goal !
Shabbat Walk aims to inspire the youth of our community to become givers. In doing so they are able to help and assist those who are struggling or are lonely in our community. Their dedicated young volunteers assist 150 families in need such as families with special needs children, new born babies and any other struggling families that may gain from some extra volunteer support. The older volunteers provide visits and shifts in hospitals 24/7.
During the covid-19 pandemic They have been at the forefront in response to the many challenges the community faces.
Through the amazing network of 700 volunteers, they have been assisting with over 2000 shopping and prescription requests. Volunteer support and activity support packages to over 150 families weekly. Hospital care packages to brighten sick patients day. They gave out over £20,000 worth of toys to over 600 families in the community. They have opened a loan service for ipads/ tablets for those in hospital or isolating. Their educational chessed programmes, teaching about chessed to over 200 volunteers has moved online. They provide weekly brunch packs to the eldery. They gave out over 2000 costumes as part of the purim costume gemach and have many more projects lined up...
Please help further the mission to help everyone who needs assistance whilst giving practical volunteering opportunities to our communities youth.
